BRIANNA Ghey’s family has made a request ahead of her funeral which is taking place next week.
Instead of flowers, the Birchwood teenager’s family has asked for donations to the charity MiSP – Mindfulness in Schools Project.
The charity aims to improve the lives of children and young people by making a ‘genuine, positive difference’ to their mental health and wellbeing.
Brianna’s funeral service is taking place on Wednesday, March 15, at 2.45pm at St Elphin’s Parish Church and attendees have been asked to wear pink.
A tribute site has been set up for Brianna who tragically died last month after being found with fatal stab wounds on a path in Culcheth Linear Park.
Many people have already paid their respects to ‘beautiful’ and ‘kind’ Brianna who ‘inspired’ many.
The page has raised £376 so far for MiSP.
