THIS dramatic photo shows the moment a car burst into flames in Rixton yesterday morning, Wednesday.
One fire engine from Birchwood Fire Station rushed to Moat Lane at around 10am after receiving reports of a car fire.
On arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered that the car was engulfed in flames in the road at a junction.
Wearing breathing apparatus, the crew used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze, while officers from Cheshire Police also attended to conduct traffic management.
The crew used absorbent mats to soak up a small amount of diesel that had spilled on the road.
