CLOSURES will be in place on Padgate Lane for two Sundays this month.
United Utilities needs to install a new water connection in the area.
So there will be restrictions on driving on March 12 and 19 on Padgate Lane from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Marsh House Lane.
On March 12, phase one, Padgate Lane will close in a north bound direction.
On March 19, phase two, Padgate Lane will shut in a south bound direction.
The alternative routes are: Phase 1 via Manchester Road, Battersby Lane and Marsh House Lane and via Manchester Road, King Edward Street and Padgate Lane; Phase 2 via March House Lane, Battersby Lane and Manchester Road and via Padgate Lane, King Edward Street and Manchester Road. The restrictions are required to allow for United Utilities to install a new water connection.
