COMIC Phil Wang is hitting the road and bringing his new stand-up show to Warrington.

The 33-year-old is going back to his stand-up roots after a number of high profile TV spots including a critically acclaimed Netflix special, an interview with David Letterman and a role on Life and Beth with Amy Schumer.

His tour – Wang in There, Baby – will see Phil visit almost 60 venues across the UK between March and September with a show at Warrington’s Parr Hall on Friday, September 22.

Phil kick-started his comedy career from a young age – winning the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Award in 2010 and becoming president of the renowned and historic Footlights club at Cambridge University in 2012.

Since then he has performed all over the world from Edinburgh Festival Fringe to Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has appeared on the likes of Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster and Have I Got News For You.

Phil’s recent projects have included his Netflix special, Philly Philly Wang Wang, where he found the funny exploring race, romance and politics, and Budpod – his podcast with fellow comedian Pierre Novellie.

He has also written a book about his heritage called Sidesplitter where he answers the awkward question he’s so frequently asked: ‘But where are you really from?’
