THE Hive is a new boutique shopping mall set to open in Warrington town centre.

Taking over the old TJ Hughes store on Sankey Street, the development aims to bring business to Warrington and help expand the town centre.

With some stores already open, some in the works, and some in the final stages of agreement over installations, we decided to round up seven stores that will feature in the development.

Black Sheep Coffee

Warrington Guardian:

The cult-favourite coffee chain has stores across the US and UK and will be opening a store in The Hive as part of their nationwide expansion.

With four stores in Manchester and one in Liverpool as of right now, ‘Black Sheep’ looks set to try and be one of the household names for coffee in the north west.

Pendergast Steakhouse

This new steak restaurant is taking over the location from the old Mojo’s Tapas Bar, on Cairo Street.

It will be a “premium steak restaurant and bar” which will be using local suppliers.

Ruddies Pizza is one of the few stores to already be open at ‘The Hive’.

Serving ‘Artisanal Pizza’ the store pride themselves on providing a “Ruddy Good Pizza”. Their pizza is available for collection and delivery on their website.

Whilst they were previously delivery only based out of Fearnshead, this gives the store an opportunity to allow collection in the town centre.

Sky Garden

The Hive’s ‘Sky Garden’ rooftop bar is arguably the crown jewel of the plans for the boutique mall.

There are plans to convert the second floor into a hotel with conferencing and banqueting space for 200 people, above which would be the Sky Garden.

Beautiful panoramic views of the west have been promised, along with an island bar and kitchens. A lift is also being installed from the first floor up to the rooftop bar.
