RESIDENTS in Paddington reported the sight of an unauthorised traveller encampment on playing fields at the back of Larkfield Avenue.
Council bosses have said that they received reports of eight caravans on the site.
A council officer has served the group with notice to leave the site by midday tomorrow - Friday, October 7.
One resident posted on social media this morning: "Travellers set up on the hard standing and grassed areas.
"The grass elsewhere is pretty badly cut up as they've been driving around."
Travellers had also been reported at the overflow car park for Orford Neighbourhood hub this week and were served with a court notice to leave the site.
The Orford encampment was disbanded by this morning, October 6, according to the county council.
