A COLLEGE’s hair and media make-up students impressed models in a recent fundraiser.

Some of Warrington & Vale Royal College’s students attended the Fashion, Food and Fizz extravaganza in support of St Rocco’s Hospice.

And they glammed up 11 models who took to the catwalk at Park Royal Hotel to raise funds for the charity.

Katherine Keyworth, one of the models, said: "I just wanted to say a big thank you to the make-up team for all your help. I especially wanted to say a big thank you to Sarah who was fantastic and does the college great credit.

“She is so pleasant and professional, she listened carefully to everything I asked for and took great care. I felt my make-up looked great and it really helped my confidence.”

Rayner Cunniffe, hair and media make-up lecturer at Warrington & Vale College, said: “The show was absolutely great.

“The students gained lots of experience and confidence by working with the models. It was a fast-paced and fun event with a great atmosphere.

“The students got to see me work and apply makeup which really inspired them, and we got great feedback from the models who felt confident on the runway."

Courteney Ford, enrichment officer at the college, said: “The opportunity to work with a live client and a professional brief is fantastic for our students and it has been amazing to help provide them with these opportunities.

“This partnership may have started with the Enrichment Team, but wouldn't have been possible without a lot of hard work from other members of staff.

“These are Stephanie Doyle, our Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Centre Business Manager, Lisa Hoyle, one of our media lecturers and Rayner Cunniffe, our Hair & Media Make-up Lecturer.”
