The car fire on the M62 this morning
PHOTOS show the extent of a car fire that shut the M62 this morning, Thursday.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at around 9.30am.
The incident occurred between junction eight for Burtonwood and junction nine for Winwick.
All traffic was temporarily held between 9.40am and 10.20am while fire crews worked at the scene, with all lanes now reopen.
