AN 81-year-old seriously injured in a road crash outside Risley Prison has died.
Police confirmed the man, who has not yet been identified, died on Christmas Day following the incident yesterday, Tuesday.
The man, from Warrington was travelling with his 49-year-old daughter passenger, when their silver Nissan Primera was in collision with a black Ford Focus in the early hours of Christmas Day.
His 75-year-old partner was also in the car although not badly hurt.
The driver of the Focus, a 25-year-old woman from Golborne, was not hurt and was not taken to hospital.
The accident happened around 00.45am and the woman is being treated at Warrington Hospital.
