A 40-YEAR-OLD has been found guilty of robbery and possession of class A drugs.
Nazzareno Abela of Linnet Grove, Birchwood, was found guilty at Warrington Crown Court on Friday after a three-day trial.
The charges relate to an armed robbery, which took place at the Spar Shop, in Gorse Covert, Warrington in April this year.
Another defendant Steven Dodd, aged 44, of Moss Lane, Partington, Manchester, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to robbery, possession of imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of Class A drugs.
The incident involved a post office delivery officer who was delivering and collecting large amounts of cash from the shop when he was threatened by a man with a gun who later fled in a car that was waiting for him.
The pair will be sentenced at Warrington Crown Court in November.
