Investigations are ongoing
A MAN armed with a machete stole cigarettes during a robbery at a shop in Burtonwood.
The culprit struck at 10pm yesterday, Monday, at the Co-operative store on Mercer Street.
The man threatened the staff and demanded cash.
He fled without money but stole a quantity of cigarettes.
One of the staff members received a minor injury during the raid.
