WARRINGTON Wolves now know who they will be playing home and away in the Super 8s.

Castleford Tigers' victory at Widnes Vikings this afternoon confirms The Wire end Round 23 in fourth place.

This means they will have home matches against Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC, Catalans Dragons and St Helens, along with away trips to Wigan Warriors, Castleford and Wakefield Trinity in the race to the top four play-offs.

Fixture dates will be confirmed in the coming days.

The Wire will go into the Super 8s, opening on the weekend of August 9-12, six points clear of fifth-placed Huddersfield Giants.

Steve Price's side will need to remain in the top four at the end of the seven games in the Super 8s for a place in the semi-finals and a shot at the Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Leeds are Wire’s next opponents in next weekend’s Challenge Cup semi-final and they picked up injuries to forwards Mitch Garbutt and Carl Ablett in Friday's loss to Salford Red Devils.

The bottom four Super League clubs at the completion of the 23 rounds this weekend join the top four Championship clubs in the Middle 8s and start a fresh league table.

Super League's bottom four are Leeds, Hull KR, Salford and Widnes, who will go into the Middle 8s with Halifax, London Broncos, Toulouse Olympique and Toronto Wolfpack.

After each team has faced each other, the top three will automatically go into Super League next season while the fourth and fifth-placed teams will play-off in the Million Pound Game for the final Super League spot in 2019.
