POLICE have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in ‘unexplained’ circumstances at a house in Daresbury.
Officers were called to the property on Holly Hedge Lane at around 8.30am today, Friday, following the sudden death of a woman.
A 46-year-old man has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, with a police cordon in place around the property.

Formal identification of the woman is yet to take place, but officers remain in the area to ‘provide reassurance’ for residents.
Detective inspector Kate Tomlinson said: “At this stage, this appears to be an isolated incident and we are doing everything we can to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.
“A 46-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident – he is assisting officers with their enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who may have any information which could assist officers with their enquiries to contact us on 101, quoting incident number IML136006.
