TWO Warrington boys have received PhD degrees at the University of Strathclyde.
Jason Williams, 26 and Robert Griffiths, 26, were awarded the honours in pure and applied chemistry.
Jason, from Westbrook, is a former St Gregory's Catholic High School pupil and is now undertaking post-doctoral research in Austria.
Robert, from Great Sankey, attended Great Sankey High School and is working for a pharmaceutical research company in Saffron Walden.
The pair also played rugby together for Burtonwood Bulldogs until the age of 17.
The degree ceremony took place in the university’s Barony Hall, opposite Glasgow Cathedral.
Both Jason and Robert would like to thank GSK for sponsoring the research which led to their degrees.
Both boys are 26. Robert is from Penketh and Jason from Westbrook.
