EX-Warrington Wolves forward James Laithwaite says he is determined to ‘come back bigger and better’ after breaking his leg for the second time in his career.
The former Penketh High School pupil never played for the club again after suffering a spiral fracture of his left fibula during a Challenge Cup tie against Leigh Centurions in 2015.
And the 26-year-old Wire academy graduate has suffered injury heartbreak again after it was confirmed that the second rower has broken the same leg while playing for Bradford Bulls against Hunslet Hawks on Sunday, July 15.
He tweeted: “There are so many highs and lows in rugby league, you don’t know what’s around the corner – enjoy every moment.
“Unfortunately, it’s another setback for me.
“I’m going to do everything I can to come back bigger and better.”

Laithwaite signed for the Toronto Wolfpack ahead of their debut 2017 season after leaving the Halliwell Jones Stadium, and had been playing on loan at Bradford.
Out of contract with the Canadian side at the end of the year, Bulls head coach John Kear has confirmed that the club will offer him a deal despite his latest injury setback.
A number of Laithwaite's former teammates, including Ashton Sims and Rhys Evans, have tweeted their best wishes to the stricken star.
Speedy recovery big red🙌🏼
