WARRINGTON’S Bank Park is to be transformed into a beach complete with deckchairs and a traditional fairground this summer.
The Beach will open on Saturday, July 21, and then families can be beside the ‘seaside’ every day between 1pm and 5pm until September 1.
Attractions also include face painting so youngsters can look like their favourite Disney characters.
Walter Chadwick, of Chadwick’s Family Fun Fair, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing the beach back to Warrington, our hometown.”
Every year the beach has opened for free on selected mornings for children in care, children with disabilities and disadvantaged families.
And this year, the fun fair is extending its goodwill to every Warrington school by offering free family tickets to raffle off or as a gift to a pupil who has excelled throughout the year.
Walter added: “The event allows families to enjoy the seaside without leaving Warrington. We are particularly looking forward to welcoming disadvantaged children once again to the enjoy a day at the beach for free.”
