A MAN was hit by a car last night, Sunday.
Police were sent to the junction of the East Lancashire Road and Newton Road at around 8.20pm after a pedestrian in his 40s was struck by a car.
The driver remained at the scene with officers, while the pedestrian was taken to Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan for treatment.
