Traffic has been stopped
TWO lanes remain closed on the M6 southbound as firefighters tackle a car fire.
Traffic was held between junction 20 of the M56 and the Lymm Interchange and junction 19 for Knutsford at around 1.15pm.
Lanes one and two of three are still shut.
This has caused congestion back to junction 21 of the M6 at Woolston.
Meanwhile fire crews also tackled a blaze on the M56 at 12.45pm.
Crews found a van well alight between junction 10 and 11. The road has now reopened.
