WARRINGTON Market is working in partnership with the Walton Gardens Estate team to deliver a new monthly Artisan Market on the last Sunday of the month at the fully refurbished ‘Old Riding School’.

The 19th century building, located in the Heritage Yard, recently underwent a six-figure facelift having been out of use to the public for more than 100 years.

The first market will take place this Sunday, May 27 from 10am until 3pm and will include a gin and prosecco bar, hot food from Warrington Market’s self-proclaimed Punjabi King, Singh’s Grillhouse and Greek cuisine from street food stalwart, Cyprus Kouzini.

The riding school will host more than 30 of the region’s best independent producers and creative makers.

Local three-piece band, Scratch Trio will be performing in the court yard and Paper Town Crafts will be running kids craft workshops throughout the day.

Cllr Tony Higgins, executive board member for leisure and community, said: “The restoration of the old riding school has now provided a fantastic facility for the wider public and is a great addition for the Walton Estate. It is also great to see Warrington Market and the Walton team working together establish a new regular family friendly attraction to add to the wonderful facilities already on offer.”
