At Sacred Heart, pupils all received a formal invitation to attend Sacred Heart’s very own royal wedding party.
Children and staff all dressed in wedding attire or red, white and blue.
There were wedding themed activities throughout the day and the day finished with a street party for the whole school.
Children entertained the crowd with traditional Indian dancing.
Thy had their very own mock Sacred Heart wedding as a surprise for the children with staff performing Bruno Mars ‘I think I wanna marry you’.
Colleen Everett, head teacher, said: "The children all looked fantastic in their royal wedding themed clothes and thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially the street party. We hope that in years to come they will look back and remember what they did on this special day.
"The big smiles and great excitement showed that a good time was had by all! Performances by staff and children added to the party atmosphere!’’
Vicky Gibson, nursery manager at Stepping Stones Nursery, said: "The children all came dressed as price or princesses and had a royal tea party outside on the front of nursery, we made our own crowns and decorated flags to fly on a walk around Westbrook."
