TWO teenage boys were arrested near to Sankey station last night.
A 14-year-old and a 13-year-old, both from the Manchester area, were arrested by Cheshire Police on Belmont Crescent in Sankey, near to Sankey for Penketh station, at around 8.45pm on Wednesday.
The boys, who were held on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle parked on a driveway in the area, have both since been released without further action following enquiries by officers.
But police have praised the homeowner for his efforts to assist officers.
A spokesman said: "The aggrieved kept his head and gave chase, giving officers a description that was useful in locating the suspects."
