AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was trapped inside a car after a collision on Glazebrook Lane in Rixton last night, Tuesday.
Firefighters from Birchwood were called to reports of a crash involving a black Citroen C1 and a grey VW Amorak at 5.45pm.
Crews used specialist cutting equipment to release the man from the Citroen and a longboard to remove him from the car.
The casualty, from Irlam, was then passed to the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
Paramedics took him to Royal Salfrod Univeristy Hospital with serious injuries.
Fire crews were in attendance for more than an hour.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are currently ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 45267.
