WALTON Hall and Gardens has announced more than 70 hot food and drink traders will be joining its biggest food festival weekend.

Taking place over the Easter school holiday weekend of April 14 and 15, there will be stalls selling all types of hot food, from Thai to traditional hog roast.

The gardens will host live music on the bandstand, with the petting zoo, kids corner and crazy golf open as usual.

The family-friendly festival, last held in 2013, will also hold events in the newly renovated Riding School - a multi-use space developed from the old stables and equestrian facilities at Walton Hall - as well as on the main lawns, bandstand and around the park.

Gavin Gibbons, event manager at Walton Hall and Gardens said: "We are really pleased to have the food festival back, it was always popular, and we hope with the new riding school people will get to see more of the lovely park and buildings here at Walton."

The event will be free and suitable for all ages.
