Investigations continue
A MAN needed stitches to his head after an attack in Lower Walton.
Police were called to Irwell Road at 7.55pm on January 10 following reports of a disturbance.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault.
He was taken into custody to be questioned but he has since been released under investigation.
The 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Anyone with information has been urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 citing crime reference number 727 of January 10 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
