NATIVITY scenes from around the world went on display to celebrate the diverse mix of people living in the community.
A selection of cribs were installed at Blessed John Henry Newman Church on Prescott Street, Latchford, in the run up to Christmas.
Father Peter Montgomery, who came up with the idea, said: “The church has been open for seven years.
“Since 2010 we have been searching for new crib figures to go into the church.
“We recently acquired a new set from Germany made of limestone.
“To mark the occasion we asked parishioners to bring in their own sets.
“We are very fortunate that we have a broad ethnic mix with people from Poland, Africa, Philippines, India and Italy.
“We wanted to reflect this – it was a very beautiful display.”
