TWO men armed with a hockey stick have raided a shop in Latchford.

Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the armed robbery at Best One on Loushers Lane.

An investigation was launched after two men demanded the shop assistant hand over cash from the till at 9.45pm on November 7.

The offenders left the store with money and a bottle of alcohol.

The man holding the hockey stick is described as white, aged 17 to 20, around 5ft 10ins and of skinny build.

He was wearing a black top with the hood up, black gloves and a black tracksuit bottoms.

He had mousey brown long hair and pointed facial features.

The hockey stick appeared to be well used and had blue and white markings.

The second man is described as white, aged 17 to 18, around 5ft 11ins and of a stocky build.

He had a pale complexion with fair-coloured eyes.

He was wearing a black coat and black tracksuit bottoms and had something covering his mouth.

He was also carrying an unknown weapon.

DC Steven Sanson, of Warrington CID, said: "We are really keen to speak to these two men and I would encourage anyone who has any information, no matter how big or small, to come forward and speak to us.

"Any information could really help us with our investigation."
