LAST week we printed a letter from a Great Sankey woman who said she wanted to 'shout it from the rooftops' that she loves Warrington.

And it got a big response online.

Lynette Vickers said people should 'open their eyes and feel a sense of pride in where they belong'.

So we asked readers on our Warrington Guardian Facebook page what they loved about the town.

Here's just a selection of the responses:

Woolston park, Lymm dam and village, the eateries in the Cultural Quarter, Parr Hall, Walton Gardens and the mini zoo (and it's free!)

What do I love?
Honestly?
If I knocked on a door in this town and said 'I really need your help' the vast majority of people would actually try to help me.
People are kind in this town.
And that's something to be grateful for.

The positives.. The best rugby team in the league... Beautiful historic buildings... The golden gates.. Old market square.. And the true friendly Warringtonian people...

I love living in Warrington...
I been living here for almost 7 months it's 2 years since I first came from Denmark to visit this lovely town and my heart was sold from the first day.
As a foreigner I might see the town different from someone who lived here all their life, I see the amazing and helpful people both on local FB-groups and on the streets, like a stranger just offered me her Christmas tree, bulbs and lights from last year, since I had to let go of all my Christmas things before we moved here.

I am proud to be a Dane living in wonderful Warrington

I'm 37 years old. I've lived in Warrington for three years. Initially renting due to work. Loved the area, the people, the transport network, the pubs, choice of shops, the masses of parks and green spaces, the pride in Walking Day.... that much that we made Warrington our home
