KIND-hearted residents in Saxon Park teamed up to clean up their neighbourhood.
The group collected 21 bin bags of rubbish, a bike frame, old pram and other discarded items.
John Woods, who helped organise the event, said: "It is wonderful that a few of us care enough to come together to do something about litter.
"There is a fantastic community spirit and it was lovely to meet the neighbours."
The council provided refuse bags, litter pickets and high vis vests for the team and Miller Homes will collect the rubbish.
Residents hope that in the future people will consider putting their rubbish in the bin instead of dropping it on the street.
The next community clean up will take place next spring.
