WARRINGTON will fall silent on Sunday morning for the annual service of remembrance.

It will be held at the war memorial on Bridge Foot from 10.59am.

The service will begin with the sounding of the Last Post by the bugler from the Salvation Army Band and Mayor Cllr Les Morgan will lay the first wreath.

Members of the public attending are asked to access and exit the war memorial via the marked crossing points and arrive by 10.45am prior to the civic party taking their positions at the cenotaph.

The parade to the war memorial including many town dignitaries departs the Town Hall at 10.20am.

The cenotaph service will run until 11.25am when the parade reforms and returns to the Town Hall.

Meanwhile a service of remembrance will take place to mark Armistice Day in the town centre on Saturday.

The Mayor Cllr Les Morgan will join town centre clergy and community leaders at 10.45 am at the Old Fish Market in the town centre just before 11am.

All are welcome to attend.
