TWO men have raided an ATM machine in Penketh causing extensive damage.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident at the Co-operative store on Warrington Road after police were alerted at 3.30am today, Friday.
Thieves broke through the shutters to raid the cash machine but then left the scene in a dark coloured vehicle.
The gang left the scene empty-handed.

Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made at this stage.
Officers are currently searching the area with the help of air support.
A road closure was put in place but it has since been lifted.
