AN unusual glow in the skies above Warrington has been linked to a weather phenomenon described as a 'hurricane sun'.
Photographer Mike Boden has captured a number of photographs of the unusual sight while readers have been sharing images of the glow on social media.
It has been reported the weather could be linked to the end of Hurricane Ophelia, which is currently making its way across Ireland.
This could also bring gale force winds to the region at this afternoon, Monday.
A yellow weather warning is currently in place across a large section of the UK due to high winds.
