A LISTED pub has applied for retrospective planning permission after it built a new smoking shelter without consent.
The Famous King and Queen on Padgate Lane enjoyed a full refurbishment in April, including a smoking shelter and wheelchair ramp.
But planning permission for the shelter and ramp was not sought prior to the development.
Brewery Greene King has now submitted a retrospective application for work at the pub, which is listed and dates back to 1909.
A consultation on the plans runs until Wednesday, July 12.
