A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl hopes to inspire others to unite to combat terrorism after filming an open letter to the world.

Evie Burton-Baddeley, from Stockton Heath, recorded the message in the wake of the Manchester terror attack where 22 people died and the London killing where seven people lost their lives.

Posting the video on her YouTube channel, she said: "This video is about how we should all come together and support one and other to combat terrorism.

"If you agree with this video please share to inspire others."

Evie's mum Carolyn recalled feeling a wave of emotion wash over her when she listened to her daughter's letter.

She said: "Two of her cousins were at the arena that night but luckily escaped.

"Not long after it happened she was speaking to her cousin Emily.

"It has really affected her.

"I'm so proud of her. I had tears in my eyes.

"She said that if she can help make a difference and help just one person then she will be happy."
