TWO groups of travellers have set up camp at the town's Morrisons and B&Q stores.
Four caravans and associated vehicles have made their way onto the supermarket chain's site, on Greenalls Avenue.
A council spokesman said: "We are liaising with the land owner, who is in the process of instructing bailiffs to evict the encampment."
Furthermore, the authority has been notified of an encampment made up of four caravans and associated vehicles at B&Q in Winwick.
The store, on Delph Lane, is also in the process of 'instructing bailiffs' to evict the group.
It has been confirmed a group of travellers on council land, off Callands Road, have now vacated the site.
The council was set to take legal action against them after they failed to leave despite being served with a section 77 notice.
