PHONE lines and computer systems were down at all of the town's GP surgeries this morning, Friday, because of a broken network cable.

The problem has now been fixed but Warrington CCG has asked people to be patient when trying to contact their doctors' surgery.

A spokesman said the issue is not related to last week's cyber attack.

If you are in need of medical advice and cannot get through to your GP, call NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency.
