SPECIALIST healthcare property partner Assura has launched a new programme to help make a difference in the community.

The Assura Healthy Communities Fund is offering grants of £1,000 to £2,000 to registered charities that can demonstrate how their project will improve health for people in Warrington in the coming year.

The healthcare property company off Wilderspool Causeway is already supporting charity Life After Loss this year to help fund a cuddle cot for Warrington Hospital.

The cot will enable parents to spend more time with their baby after a stillbirth.

Head of public affairs Claire Rick said: “We know from GPs using our buildings that some of the health challenges we face have never been greater – and that’s where our fund is aiming to help.

“We look forward to hearing from as many projects as possible and to working with them over the next 12 months.”

Any charity wanting to apply for a share of this year’s fund should visit assuraplc.com/about-us/charities-2.

The deadline closes on June 2.
