THE historic rugby posts used at Wilderspool Stadium have been installed on Brian Bevan Island this morning.
This comes after councillors approved the proposal last summer by the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation at a Town Hall meeting.
Wilderspool, the home of Warrington Wolves for 105 years, was demolished in 2014.
The plans to reinstate the 10m high goalposts at the junction of Chester Road and Wilderspool Causeway marks the club’s 140th anniversary.
An official unveiling is expected to take place next week.
