THE future of area boards in the town remains uncertain – with a review into them due to be completed next month.
They were introduced in the borough in 2008 to provide support to communities battling for improvements in their areas.
Five are currently in place in Warrington – the north, south, east, west and central boards.
But as budget cuts continue, the current set-up could be altered.
A council spokesman said: "We are currently undertaking a review of the area boards.
"This review should be completed in March."
