RESIDENTS are being asked to don their most outrageous socks this week in order to raise funds for a new play area at Warrington Hospital.
Warrington and Halton Hospitals Charity’s Silly Socks appeal is urging people to put on their fanciest and funniest footwear from Monday, December 5, to Friday, December 9, whilst making a £1 donation to their appeal for funding for a new outdoor play area for the children’s ward.
Alternatively, residents can collect their small change inside their funky socks.
Helen Higginson, Warrington and Halton Hospitals Charity fundraising manager, said: “Join us today and get involved in this little piece of Christmas fun that you, your family or work colleagues will enjoy.”
