HOMES under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts was booted off ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here on Friday but that does not mean the dad-of-two has remained out of the headlines since his departure.

The 53-year-old, who grew up in Stockton Heath, has lashed out at former Eastenders actor Larry Lamb following his stint in the famous jungle, accusing the actor of 'bullying'.

Martin made the accusations during an interview to a national newspaper where he revealed that viewers never had the chance to see the scenes before they were cut.

"I lived a long time in the jungle with Larry and it turns out a lot of the stuff that he did to me wasn’t shown,’ he told the Sunday Mirror.

"One thing that hurt most was when he was interviewed after a challenge and I heard him say 'He doesn’t need to win, because he’s a porker and he doesn’t need the food'.

The day before, I talked about how I was badly bullied because I was fat, so Larry heard all of that."

Martin endured a rollercoaster of emotions during his time in the Australian jungle where he was seen crying days into the experience following a clash with radio DJ Danny Baker.

But the eccentric camp-mate was undeterred and went on to win round some of the other contestants.

Speaking during the show, comedian Joel Dommett said: "I just love Martin so much, he’s an unbelievable human being, he’s so funny, but when you watch Homes under the Hammer you thinks he’s just a normal guy. I don’t like it when people shout at him."

He went on to leave the competition in sixth place alongside former footballer Wayne Bridge.
