AN agency set up for for older, disabled or vulnerable people has issued a warning to residents over rogue traders.
In recent week, Warrington Home Information and Improvement Agency (WHiA) has received a number of calls from people in Warrington about dodgy dealers.
Nicola Isaac, WHiA caseworker, said: ""We have had quite a few calls of recent off clients asking for us to send a reputable roofer out.
"They have had rogue traders knocking on doors telling them they require urgent roof repairs.
"Luckily most of them have rang us first so we can check for them before they give them any money – some haven’t been so lucky though."
Residents are urged to call the not-for-profit organisation for free, impartial advice on home improvements and repairs.
