A TALENTED singer from Burtonwood hopes to share her story through her latest single.

Mum-of-two Sonya Hurst is set to release her second song Ever after at the beginning of December.

This follows the success of her track Emily – a song she wrote as a schoolgirl which was heard around the world.

The 30-year-old said: "I am so excited to be able to carry on releasing my own, original music.

"After releasing Emily last year I was overwhelmed by the response.

"I still can't quite believe that people bought and listened to my own songs and that they have been played all over the world."

Her latest music track is arguably one of her favourite songs.

She said: "Ever after is a song which is very close to my heart.

"It's one of my favourites but I'm not expecting it to sell millions of copies.

"I'm not driven by sales. I just want people to hear the stories that I have to tell through the lyrics I write.

"We are all different and I love that.

"Not everyone will like you but how boring would it be if we were all exactly same."

The singer, who features in a book on sale on Amazon called Every artist has a story, hopes to inspire others who dream of creating their own music.

She said: " I'm almost 31 now and I'm only just beginning to do what I love. It's never too late to start pursuing your dreams."
