SHE has seen more than a century of change but Lillian Jones is all smiles after celebrating her 103rd birthday with friends and family at Radley Common Community Centre.
Lillian, who was born on November 13 1913, was taken for lunch by her nieces and nephews for the special day before a party with friends at the Grasmere Avenue centre.
Niece Dilys Robinson said: “She does enjoy eating – it’s one of her main passions, to enjoy food. I think it could be her secret to a long and healthy life.
“She was reunited with a lot of friends at Radley Common and everyone had a wonderful time. She had two birthday cakes and cupcakes for the celebrations.
“We all had a wonderful time. She had fish and chips which is her favourite.
“Lillian worked as a supervisor doing collars in the shirt works and she also used to bake a lot, she’s a very lovely woman.”
