CATS Protection’s Warrington Adoption Centre is desperately appealing for owners to adopt one of the many cats in the charity’s care this winter.

Staff say the centre in Padgate is currently bursting at the seams with many loving cats and kittens requiring a home but is having great difficulty finding new owners.

“As the dark nights draw in and the temperatures drop we have found ourselves inundated with unwanted and abandoned felines,” manager Claire Frangelton said.

“There are currently 77 cats in our care, which is more than this time last year and we are worried that this number will only continue to rise unless we find new, loving homes soon."

One of the cats looking for a new home is two-year-old ginger and white moggy Teddy who requires a home without any other cats.
