X FACTOR finalists Reggie N Bollie will have the honour of switching on Warrington’s Christmas lights this year.

The duo, who reached the final of the 2015 series and duetted with Craig David and Fuse ODG along the way, will be switching on the lights in Golden Square Shopping Centre today, Thursday.

Warrington Wolves will also be revealing their new shirts for the 2017 season, with players appearing alongside cheerleaders the Wirettes ahead of the kits going on sale on Friday, November 11.

Meanwhile, the cast of the Parr Hall’s pantomime Aladdin will be performing a dance routine at the free event, which runs from 6pm to 7pm.

The first 200 children who arrive at the event in the Old Market Place will be given a wristband that gives them the chance to win one of 10 special Christmas gift bundles, which will be presented onstage by Father Christmas.

Golden Square Shopping Centre director Ian Cox said: “The Christmas lights switch-on at Golden Square is our biggest, and my favourite, event of the year – it promises to be a night for all the family to enjoy.

“I’d encourage everyone to arrive early because Reggie N Bollie are proving to be very popular.

“The switch-on also signifies the beginning of extended shopping hours at the centre, giving everyone plenty of time to get organised for Christmas.”
