AT just days old, Kaya Sims is one of the youngest supporters heading to Wembley Way to cheer on her dad Ashton during the much-anticipated final game.

Our photographer Mike Boden caught this adorable picture of the newborn with her loving mum Nicole Sims earlier today as fans and family waved off the players outside The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Reporter Lauren Hirst spoke to Nicole ahead of the Challenge Cup Final.

SINCE Ashton Sims debuted in 2003 his rugby career quickly gained momentum.

But there has been one constant in his life since that fateful day 13 years ago – his supportive wife Nicole.

Now the 33-year-old mum-of-four says she will relish the opportunity to see her husband’s dreams come true when he plays in the Challenge Cup Final this weekend.

“He debuted in 2003 and that’s how long we have been together,” said Nicole, who even planned to follow her husband down to Wembley despite being nine months’ pregnant.

“This is his first final and it is what he has always wanted.

“When I saw him after the semi final it was such a relief.

“He was like, ‘we’ve done it. We are finally going to a final’.

“He played four or five semi-finals in the NRL and then last year’s semi-final.

“We just wanted to get past this point.

“Because of this I really think he is just going to enjoy it and relish every moment and I will too.”

The couple, who have seven-year-old Kobe, six-year-old Alani, three-year-old

Isla, have recently added to their brood with the latest addition to the Sims family – a baby girl.

“Perhaps if I give birth in London I can call her Wembley,” joked Nicole when she spoke to the Guardian two days before welcoming their daughter.

But despite a new baby in tow, this will not get in the way of their family traditions to make sure Ashton is prepared for the match ahead.

“He will always Facetime the kids and me before a match,” she said.

“We are very close but after the phone call I then start to get nervous.”

But with her parents having flown over to the UK as well as Ashton’s father, she knows she has the support system in place to make sure she enjoy the momentous occasion – even if she admits she doesn't quite know all the chants yet.
