SEVEN new members have joined an initiative set up by the Mayor of Warrington to support businesses across the town.

The new additions bring the total number of organisations to have signed up to the 'Circle' to 12.

The latest to join are Institution Bar, Wasabi Teppan-Yaki, Walker Begley Ltd, Carpe Diem, ABC Top Mixer Hire Ltd, BGS Ltd and Oculus Studios.

They join organisations including Dawsons Music, Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub, Knight Corporate Finance, I & H Brown Ltd and Taylor Business Park.

Mayor Cllr Rashid (LAB – Chapelford and Old Hall) launched the Circle to bring businesses together in order to allow them to support and promote each other, while creating 'unique opportunities' and 'producing an economically strong and a more socially active business community'.

He said: "I am delighted to welcome on board the newest members of the Circle.

"This initiative continues to go from strength to strength and to see its membership grow to 12 in such a short space of time is absolutely fantastic.

"I've been really encouraged by the enthusiasm the business community has shown for this initiative.

"It demonstrates that there's a real will among companies to support each other, network, share opportunities and help each other thrive."

Cllr Rashid is hosting a special Circle meeting at the Town Hall on September 27.

It will be aimed at giving all of the members the opportunity to hold discussions and exchange ideas about the future development of the initiative.

Businesses are invited to apply for Circle membership by donating to the Mayor's selected charities.
