YOUNGSTERS at Heathfield House Day Nursery in Birchwood welcomed a special guest to their Warrington Wolves 'celebration day'.
Wolves star Kevin Penny surprised the children and even put them through their paces with a number of rugby drills on Tuesday.
Nursery practitioner Vicky Brinksman praised the winger for giving up his time to visit the nursery, on Delenty Drive, as the club prepares for the Challenge Cup final showdown at Wembley Stadium next Saturday.
She said: "We are trying to raise more awareness around sport for the children here and want to help them keep fit and active, while supporting Wolves.
"The kids turned up in the team's colours for the day which was nice.
"They were buzzing that Kevin came. He did some rugby trials out on the garden and even had some Wolfie pie, mash and peas for lunch.
"I will be tuning into the match and think they can win it."
