SALES for companies at Sci-Tech Daresbury grew by a quarter during 2015 – generating £90m.
A survey of 83 companies based at the site showed sales of £92.4m last year, representing a rise of 25 per cent.
In total, 21 companies at the science and innovation campus had sales over more than £1m, with six of these have beaten the £5m mark.
Seven out of 10 businesses traded overseas with a four per cent growth in export sales, which represented £37.9m of total sales.
The extra sales also helped to create 87 new jobs at Sci-Tech Daresbury.
John Downes, chairman of Sci-Tech Daresbury, said: “These figures come at an important time for the campus as we bring forward our new Techspace developments which will see a further 350 jobs created over the coming year.
“We have now seen an average annual 30 per cent sales growth over the past five years which is a significant achievement.”
