GOLDEN Square shopping centre was evacuated this afternoon after the fire alarm was activated.
A Warrington Guardian reader has sent in this photograph of staff and shoppers outside on the town centre mall today, Tuesday, at 2.30pm.
Ian Cox, centre manager, said: "A fire alarm was activated at Golden Square today at 2.20pm.
"The centre was evacuated with no incident.
"Our priority is the safety of our customers and staff.
"The centre is now open again as normal."
